Consigli per la ricerca
Solitamente i motori di ricerca trovano le pagine che contengono esattamente tutte le parole indicate come chiave di ricerca. Se non si ottengono risultati, cercano le pagine che contengono almeno una delle parole indicate come chiave di ricerca. Quando ciò si verifica, è mostrato un messaggio d'avviso a inizio pagina.
Inoltre, vi sono vari modi per modificare il metodo di ricerca standard:
- Ricerca di una frase
Questo motore di ricerca consente l'uso di tre tipi di ricerca di una frase.

- Per cercare una frase esatta, racchiuderla tra virgolette.
Esempio: "Libro su Photoshop"
- Per trovare una frase comprese alcune parole, racchiudere la frase stessa tra parentesi quadre: []
Esempio: [Libro su Photoshop]
- Per trovare una frase con anche più parole, racchiudere la frase stessa tra parentesi graffe: {}
Esempio: {Libro su Photoshop}
- Caratteri + e -
Se si desidera che le pagine contengano una parola, precedere questa col segno "+"; se si voglion trovare pagine che non contengono una parola, precedere questa col segno "-"
Esempio: +Photoshop -Illustrator
- Caratteri Jolly: *
Per trovare parole con medesimo prefisso (es.: Photoshop, PhotoDeLuxe), aggiungere al prefisso questo il carattere *
Esempio: Photo*
- Caratteri Jolly: ?
affinché si trovino parole che contengano un carattere qualisasi, usare "?".
Esempio: gr?sso trova "grosso" e "grasso"
- Ricerche boleane
Si possono usare operatori boleani come AND, OR e NOT. Questi devono essere scritti a lettere maiuscole.
Esempio: (corsi AND Photoshop) OR (formazione AND Photoshop)
- Tutte queste tecniche possono essere combinate tra loro.

Search Tips
By default the search engine tries to locate pages which have exact matches for all of the words entered in your search query. If that fails, it then tries to locate pages which contain any words in your search query. If that happens a short message is displayed at the top of the search results indicating this has been done.
In addition, there are several ways to modify the default search behavior.
- phrase search
The search engine supports three types of phrase search.
- + and - qualifiers
If you prepend a word with + that word is required to be on the page.
If you prepend a word with - that word is required to not be on the page.
Example: +always -never
- * wildcard
If a query word ends with a * all words on a page which start the same way as that query word will match.
Example: gift*
- ? wildcard
If a query word contains a ? any character will match that position.
Example: b?g
- boolean search
You can use the following boolean operators in your search: AND, OR, NOT. These operators MUST be in capital letters.
Example: (contact AND us) OR (about AND us)
- All of these techniques can be combined: +alway* -ne??r*
